Thought-Provoking Photos at Weddings

I’m an artist first and a wedding photographer second. When I photograph a wedding, I’m searching for something deeper—moments that feel honest, unscripted, and true to both me and the couples I work with.

So much of wedding photography focuses on perfection—the carefully curated image. And while there’s beauty in that, I find myself drawn to something else.

I want to see photos that pull me in—images that make me pause, study, and linger. The ones that hold a little mystery, that make you feel something beyond just the moment itself. Those are the images that stick with me.

I also want to encourage other photographers to explore this idea. Step outside the expected, take risks, and make images that move you

Here are a few wedding photos I’ve taken over the years that still make me pause, reflect, and wonder.

All photos were taken at weddings across Ohio and New York, on both film and digital cameras.
